Sometimes it is required to password protect a file or folder due to it’s privacy. There are many softwares in internet to do the work but its a simple job.No download will be needed. Just use the wellknown rar filecreator software “Winrar” and complete the work. Its a job of 2-3 minute no download will be needed. I hope that“Winrar” must be installed in your computer.Step-details are given below:
1.First install “Winrar.exe” in your PC.
2.Right click on the file or folder which you want to convert into password protected rar file.
3.Click on the “Add to archive” option in the appeared window.
4.There will appear an another window. Click on the “Advanced” button in the toolbar.
5.Now click on the “Set password” button at the right side of the window.
6.Now a pop up window will be appeared for password setting. Type your desired password two times(one for verification)and hit the “OK” button.
Thus the file becomes a password protected rar file which can not be opened without the given password.
