Virus vault has reached limit
when trying to move files to the virus vault AVG showed an error'The Virus Vault has reached the maximum file count limit'.
what to do?
Answer:the error is most likely a flaw in one of the components components of AVG.The main cause of this error is a damaged'vvfolder.idx'file.This file helps AVG keep a count on how many entries have been made to its virus vault.
here's how to overcome this problem,
1.Double click 'my computer'
2.Once Windows Explorer opens up,click 'Tools/Folder Options".
3.In the dialog box that opens up click the 'View, tab.
4.Under 'hidden files and folders' select the 'show hidden files and folders'option
5.Visit the drive in which you have installed AVG and look for the hidden folder named '$AVG8.VAULT$'.For example,'C:\$AVG8.VAULT$'.
6.Delete this folder
the problem should be solved once the folder is deleted.Make sure that you download the most recent updates after this to stay on the safer side.
